Why vote for me?Looking to the future, we need a climate-resilient water supply. There is not a single answer to climate change, but we need to build a multi-barrier method to create resilience against climate shocks with flexibility to shift between surface and groundwater options, as well as interties between water systems to transport water in times of need. To achieve this, we need scientists who understand the impacts of climate change to sit on the SLVWD Board of directors. I am exactly such a scientist.
The San Lorenzo Valley Water District is in a period of fire recovery and deferred maintenance construction projects. There are a lot of moving pieces and we are lucky to have staff that are willing to put in the long hours to keep water at our taps. The District needs board members who are familiar with construction projects, balancing environmental needs, and supporting water equity. My critical skill set fits that set of needs.
You need a Board member who understands the big picture of our watershed, knows how to achieve a climate-resilient water supply, and has the practical knowledge and awareness of process and budget to get us there. I am that person. |

I am so happy you found my site. A personal statement in the voter pamphlet is nearly $1,000 for 200 words, but as a grassroots campaign, funds are limited. That's where you come in!
